ISO 14001 Environmental Certification
Following on from the success of gaining the ISO 9001 accreditation at the first attempt ACR&A are now working towards the ISO 14001 environmental standard which we hope to be accredited with in the next few months.
Below is a copy of our environmental policy.
ACR Associates was originally established in 1969 and has built a strong business platform and reputation over the whole of the UK over the years for providing a high quality client oriented service in the full range of Consulting Civil and Structural Engineering disciplines, also more recently for advising on all aspects of Construction Design, Project management and CDM 2008. ACR Associates provides an invaluable cradle to grave service to all of its clients in many differing sectors and disciplines.
Protection of the environment in which we live and operate is part of ACR Associates' values and principles and we consider it to be sound business practice. care for the environment is one of our key rsponsibilities and an important part of the way we do business.
In this policy statement we commit our company to:
- Comply with the international environmental management systems standard BS EN ISO 14001-2004
- Complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice.
- Protecting the environment by striving to prevent and minimise our contribution to pollution of land, air and water
- Seeking to keep wastage to a minimum and maximise the efficient use of materials and resources.
- Managing and disposing of all waste in a responsible manner.
- Providing training for all our staff so that we all work in accordance with this policy and within an environmentally aware culture.
- Regularly communicating our environmental performance to our employees and other significant stakeholders.
- Developing our management processes to ensure that environmental factors are considered during planning and implementation.
- Monitoring and continously improving our environmental performance.
This policy statement will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. The management team endorses these policy statements and is fully committed to their implementation.
